Why adoption you ask?
Frankie and I have always wanted a family together. We have been trying to conceive for 7 years. We have tried it all, and have taken the advice of many family and friends: "relax, go on vacation, don't think about it, take vitamins, drink red raspberry tea, don't go in jacuzzis, get drunk! lol, do it everyday, do it every other day, keep track of your cycle with your basal body temperature, see an infertility doctor, take fertility drugs, do IUI, do IVF and on and on........"
Well after 7 years of all that silliness, we woke up and thought, "Is God trying to tell us that he has another plan for us?" So adoption was set on our hearts. Shortly after, we went to a graduation party for one of the baseball coach's sons. We ended being late to the dinner and sat at the only table where there were two spots left. Usually we would have sat with the other coaches. But this is where God puts his plan into action. We sat at a table with some elderly people who spoke spanish and a couple who were in their 50's. After nice conversation and getting to know each other, the dreaded question came up, "So, do you have any children?" From their they told us about their friends who just adopted their child from Bethany Christian Services, and that we should give them a call.
The next day, I contacted the couple and they directed us to how to go about getting the adoption process started. It couldn't have been any easier. We found a wonderful agency, who are experts at what they do. After hearing so many horror stories of adoption, we feel confident and secure with Bethany Christian services. They hold our hand through the whole process and afterwards. They are wonderful!
So follow our adoption timeline to see where we are at in the process, and we hope to introduce you to our little miracle soon!
