Frankie and Kendra: Kendra and Frankie met in 1998 when Kendra moved from her hometown in Wisconsin to take a teaching job in a small desert town in Southern California. The house she rented in Barstow, California happened to be directly across the street from Frankie’s childhood home. Both Kendra and Frankie have a strong sense of adventure and enjoy traveling and exploring many places including Hawaii, Europe, Australia, Puerto Rico, and different states throughout the U.S. In addition to traveling, the Maldonados love spending time at the beach, biking, seeing Broadway shows, and attending all kinds of sporting events. They also enjoy hosting family and friends at their house for barbeques and game nights. Despite all these hobbies, Kendra and Frankie are truly happiest any time they are together. Kendra has been teaching for 14 years and currently teaches 4th grade; Frankie helps Kendra in her classroom and is always available when she needs advice or ideas with lessons. Frank coaches baseball at the University of South Florida and Kendra can be found at every one of Frankie’s baseball games. They look forward to embarking on a new adventure together- adoption.
